Boise, ID (7/10/17)— Experience meets ambition on August 18th at CenturyLink Arena when Front Street Fights veteran Abraham Campos enters the cage against newcomer Elmar Umarov in a Lightweight bout at Front Street Fights 13: Cortez vs. Beebe, presented by Bodybuilding.com.
Campos joins the FSF fight card for the third time in his pro career, while Umerov makes his professional fighting debut.
Campos (1-3-0) looks to get back in the win column after consecutive defeats at FSF9 and FSF10. The Oregon fighter succumbed to a first-round arm bar by Andrew Cruz at FSF9 last August, and at FSF10 in December was defeated by Darneal Stephens by TKO in the closing seconds of the first round. Campos’ last three fights have all ended in Round 1, including his TKO victory over Jack Floyd at Mission MMAyhem 2 last April.
Umarov (0-0-0) boasts a perfect 7-0-0 record from his amateur career, which he capped off with a second-round submission victory over Nathan Stearns at Shamrock FC 286 in March. The 21 year-old Missouri-based fighter has Idaho ties, having worked with Jesse Brock and Scott Thometz. He was ranked third among US West Amateur Lightweights by Tapology.com, and required only one of his six amateur victories to go to the judges’ scorecard.
The fight is the second to be announced for the Front Street Fights 13 fight card. Luis “The Mexican Hulk” Cortez and Ben Beebe will square off in the Main Event, the first Heavyweight bout featured in the Main Event in Front Street Fights history.
Additions to the fight card, including the co-main event, will be announced in the coming days. Doors for Front Street Fights 13 will open at 6pm, with the first fight scheduled for 7pm.
