Bermudez vs. Glenn added to UFC Fight Night 133

Boise, ID (5/22/18)— Two Featherweight fighters look to climb the UFC rankings on July 14th at CenturyLink Arena, when Dennis Bermudez takes on Rick Glenn at UFC Fight Night 133. It is the eighth fight announced for Idaho’s first-ever UFC event.

Bermudez and Glenn both look to get back in the win column, with Glenn coming off a loss and Bermudez falling in each of his last three bouts.

Bermudez (17-8-0) will make his 16th appearance for UFC, not including his appearances on Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter. The fighter out of Long Island, NY has been a main attraction in each of his last four fights, winning the Main Event at UFC Fight Night 92 with a unanimous decision over Rony Jason. Bermudez suffered defeats in each of his next three fights, the Main Event at UFC Fight Night 104 with a TKO to Chan Sung Jung, the Co-Main Event at UFC on Fox 25 with a split-decision to Darren Elkins, and the Co-Main Event at UFC on Fox 27 with a split-decision to Andre Fili.

The 31 year-old gained notoriety on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reaching the final of the Featherweight division but falling to Diego Brandao. To reach the final, Bermudez defeated Jimmie Rivera and Stephen Bass by TKO and then Akira Corassani by submission. Of Bermudez’s six nine UFC wins, six have come via submission.

Glenn (20-5-1) looks to bounce back from a loss at UFC 219 in December, but he has won two of his last three bouts. The fighter out of Sacramento, California will make his fifth appearance at UFC, splitting the first four and with all four fights going to the scorecard. The 29 year-old is a former Featherweight champion for World Series of Fighting, and his resume also features wins at Pure FC and Victory FC. Prior to joining UFC, seven of Glenn’s prior ten victories were via knockout or TKO.

Bermudez and Glenn join a fight card that already features the Main Event Heavyweight bout between Junior Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov, along with five six other fights. James Vick and Paul Felder meet for a Lightweight bout in the Co-Main Event.
